The Immaculate Conception

It was one fateful day in the fall of 2015 when three guys all showed up onto the campus of Northwest Nazarene University. Little did they know that in a few years they would be the founders of one of the most mediocre, yet most excellent, sports sites that the Pacific Northwest and the entire world has ever seen. Jumping forward in time, like Marty McFly, to the Spring of 2019, we see these same three guys sitting throughout the living room of their apartment listening to, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston. As the three sat around working on their respective tasks, wanting to dance with somebody but not, one of the guys came up with a brilliant idea. He exclaimed, "We should create a podcast and blog to give the Pacific Northwest and the entire world mediocre sports analysis with high-class personality"!! The other two looked at each other and paused for just a moment to contemplate this otherworldly proposition. Once the contemplation was over, all three guys in unison, like the final scene in an action movie when they are about to go in and blow something up and save the world, gave a nod of their heads as a symbol of unity and agreement…and the rest is history.

Now, the fateful moment comes when you are introduced to these three gentlemen and their goal to bring you the most mediocre and wonderful sports analysis. First, you have the one and only, Micah Tranch. Micah was born in Yakima Washington and has played sports his entire life. He was a three-sport athlete in high school and attended Northwest Nazarene University where he graduated with a Bachelors's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Business Administration. Along with his studies, he also competed on the track and field team as a decathlete and then walked onto the soccer team as a goalkeeper in his senior year at NNU. On a normal weekend, you will find Micah playing a pickup game of whatever sport is being played at the time, hanging out with friends playing a good ol' fashioned card game, or maybe he will be out on a hike somewhere.

Next up, the creator and father of this incredible idea, Brayden Eiland. Brayden was born on the outskirts of L.A. and grew up in the quaint forested town of Centralia, Washington. A tough-skinned, hard-nosed thrower and powerlifter Brayden is the heart and muscle of this group. He went to Northwest Nazarene University as an Engineering major, yet a few decisions later Brayden realized that it is better to invest in yourself than a fancy degree and has now graduated with applied studies and moved onto bigger and better things. He is an amateur powerlifter whose desire is to give the people what they deserve, a good time! On a normal weekend, you will find Brayden being the life of your party, or maybe he will be running his fingers along the strings of his guitar making sweet sweet sounds.

Last, but certainly not the least, the thickest founder of them all, Ryan Chism. Ryan was born in Humboldt, California, and resided there momentarily before moving to the land of Idaho; Nampa, Idaho to be specific. Ryan attended Northwest Nazarene University as well, the hallowed grounds in which these guys had the privilege of meeting each other. Ryan will be inspiring young minds as a high school teacher. During his time at NNU, if he wasn't killing it out on the track as a hurdler, you would find him being a stud. Ryan is the man that you want your daughter to bring home. On a normal weekend, you will find Ryan going for a nice bike ride through the streets of Nampa or hanging out with his wonderful girlfriend (yes ladies, he is taken. I know, it is a tragedy that has crushed the hearts of countless women). Ryan is the glue that holds this shoddy crew together.

Overall, these guys are the gateway to the mediocre advice and opinions that you did not even realize that you needed. What was conceived at college both on the track and in the dining hall is now a trio that will bring you the greatest Sports blog and podcast you have ever laid your eyes and ears on. So, enjoy; and I hope you walk with us through this wild journey we are taking.

Thank you.
